Are You in Love with Your Website?

February 12, 2012 Web Design by Chris Melfi Share

Do you have a loving relationship with your website? What do you love about it? Does it work for you -- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week? Does it represent who you are positively and fairly, speak well of you to others, and respond kindly and quickly? In honor of the impending love-centered holiday (3 days away on February 14th), I encourage you to evaluate your relationship with your website. Make sure it's a positive and loving relationship pursuing the same goals as your business.

How do you know if you have a loving relationship with your website? (Yes, I'm continuing on with the love theme in recognition of Valentine's Day 2012.) Is it time to ditch a loser website in pursuit of the website that you truly deserve? One that wants a long-term relationship built on mutual trust and honest communication? Well, consider me your own personal website relationship consultant. Please respond to the following website relationship questionnaire with openness and honesty.

Rate your website on a scale of 1 to 10 -- 1 being the lowest, 10 being the highest.

  1. My website speaks highly of me to other people. If your website contains content that is dull, lifeless, poorly written -- it's time to overhaul the content. Replace it with content that speaks of your business with expression and effective language.
  2. My website is a reflection of who I am. Are you a professional business owner who takes pride in your work and in the organization you built? Your website should accurately reflect YOU. You should be proud to show it off to other people, and you should be able to trust in its ability to convey who you are clearly, concisely, and professionally.
  3. My website is attractive. What does your website look like? Overall, are you happy with its appearance? If you aren't, it's time to ditch that site! Reach for the website you deserve -- a beautifully-designed, 100% original and unique online work of art.
  4. My website works tirelessly to support my business all day, every day. Does your site have the functionality it needs to support the work you are doing? Your website should encourage business, work for you, and be able to help you reach your goals.

We hope this quiz helps as you consider website design and its extreme importance in the life of your business. Happy Valentine's Day from RT Design Group!
